This summer you can enjoy the beauty of your landscape and your music or television at the same time. Access Connections can bring your audio and video outdoors with a variety of high-quality audio speakers uniquely designed as rocks, planters or waterfalls.

Imagine a spectacular, balanced listening environment that blends into your landscape. No longer do you need to have large speakers blasting out the window; Access Connections works with makers of high-quality weatherproof speakers. Products are protected from outdoor elements (bugs, rain, snow and ice), as well as from the sun's ultraviolet rays.

Best of all, you never have to miss a Red Sox game again: you can watch the barbeque and the game.  Access Connections’ weather-resistant flat-screen televisions can withstand water, dust and bugs in most temperatures, from 122 degrees to 24 below! Screens range from 23 to 46 inches, so you can see the action from the pool, the deck or the yard.

And don’t forget the landscape lighting. With Access Connections’ lighting control system, you can set your landscape lights to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise, or any time of your choosing. Access Connections can also create lighting scenes to highlight your outdoor living environment and add drama to your landscape.

What does “One Touch Control” mean to you?  Simplicity? Convenience?  one touch mx_880

We make the technology seamless and provide you with a simple, convenient system to meet your needs and lifestyle.

Take the complexity out of controlling your home theater, music, lighting control, motorized window treatments and more.  We work with our clients to understand how they live and design a system around their needs, not the other way around.  We can discuss solutions and ideas that you may not be aware of that can complement and enhance your lifestyle.

I don’t want more gadgets!  It’s too hard to use!

These are some of the reactions when “Smart Home” or Automation is mentioned.

But an Integrated Home or Smart Home is not complicated when designed with how you live in mind.  The goal of connecting multiple devices is to simplify and streamline routine tasks in your home resulting in convenience, ease of use and safety.

Automated… not complicated

When you get home …

Use garage door opener to open garage, park, turn on stair light, turn on hall light, turn on multiple kitchen lights.  Turn on the outside light.  Shut stair light.  Shut hall light.  (or do you end up leaving them all on??)  Kick thermostat up.  Shut the drapes.  Go to the stereo in the great room and turn on the kitchen music (if you can remember all the right buttons to make that happen).

Isn’t this easy?

Use garage door opener to open garage AND light the stairs, hall and kitchen.  No tripping on the skateboard.

Press one button in kitchen to shut hall, stairs, adjust kitchen for working and turn on lamps in the attached great room.

The thermostat was already turned up.

The outside lights came on at dusk.

The shades shut at dusk.

Dock your iPod and press a button to turn on the kitchen music.  Or for fun, have it come on when you enter the room!

When it’s time to watch a movie …

Turn on the receiver, DVD, TV.  Shut the shades.  Find and load the DVD.  Set the correct inputs on the receiver.  Get up because you forgot to dim the lights.

Oops, sound but no pictures … forgot to set the TV input.  Get up again because you forgot to dim the kitchen lights.

More relaxing?

Why not, choose a movie from the movie server, press a button on the remote and have the system come on, inputs set, shades come down, and lights dim.

When you retire for the evening …

Do you trudge around the house shutting lights, locking doors, setting back thermostats, turning off TVs and electronics, turning on night lights?

Convenient and efficient!

Press the Night button to shut off the lights downstairs, light a pathway upstairs, arm the security system, setback the thermostat, and turn off the music.  Upstairs, press good night by your bed to turn off any remaining lights.  Hear a noise at night, press the All ON button.

onq-cabinetWiring your home for the Future!

Structured Wiring is the “backbone” of your home for integrating and connecting your entertainment and convenience devices.

A Structured Wiring design should be created with a CEDIA professional early in the construction of your new home or addition to ensure you can enjoy the many new devices available without difficult, expensive retrofitting.

  • Network connection in your living room?  New receivers, BluRay DVDs, cable boxes and TVs have network connections.   This gives you access to music on your computers, content from the internet and special BluRay Live features.
  • Audio/Video connection in your bathroom?  Plan for a flat panel TV built into your bathroom wall.  Enjoy your favorite show.  View the person at the front door or in the driveway.
  • Network connection in your kitchen?  New appliances, such as refrigerators, have built in “Control Touch Panels”.  Connect to your home network and control many devices, such as lighting, music, television and surveillance cameras.

Today’s wiring is “High Tech”, carrying information up to 1000 million bits per second!  Installation requirements are different and much more precise than standard electrical wiring.  Crimp the cable in a sharp bend, mash it with a staple, pull it too tight, or run it along with electrical wire and you will have degraded network performance, hum bars, or the video just won’t display.  A certified CEDIA professional installer will ensure your home is wired correctly, allowing the performance that each cable and attached device is specified for

Following the latest industry standards from TIA, EIA, NEC, IEEE, and CEDIA, Access Connections will create a wiring plan designed for each living space to accommodate Televisions, Phones, Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), Lighting Controls, Computer Networks, Music, Touch Panels and more.  All the wiring is “Home Run” to a central location, terminated in a compact Structured Wiring Panel.  Once the system is in place it’s a simple task to connect the devices or change the use of the wiring.

Add convenience and value to your home.  Wire for the future!  Connect and integrate lights, music, video, cameras and networks now and tomorrow.
